If I could just be…
If I could have…
Then I would be happier!
That’s what I used to think…
My happiness was dependent on these big external ‘things’.
And I did get many of those ‘things’ but I didn’t get the thing I really wanted.
I assessed my life and in doing that I realised that my focus had been on the things I didn’t have.
I’d been overlooking all that I did have.
I opened my eyes and started to appreciate all the little wonders of life.
The warm breeze
The feel of sunshine on my face
A child’s laughter
I noticed that when I started to show gratitude for the small things in life that I had an abundance of reasons to be happy more often than not.
The small things are a lot easier to come by and more frequently encountered.
This change in focus has had a direct impact on my happiness levels 😊
Where’s your focus at…?
