Does your morning routine energise or drain you?

I’m committed to living slow so I wake at least 90 mins before needing to leave home.

After a while I creep back into bed with my little one (if she hasn’t already woken) for cuddles and chatting to allow her to settle into her day gently (as kid I always felt rushed and hated it).

I get almost everything ready the night before so it doesn’t take long to be ready to go which gives us plenty of time to arrive early on forest school days with time for reading, or feeding the squirrels on a slow walk to the childminder.

It doesn’t always run smoothly of course… some days my kid doesn’t want to play ball, some days I feel more tired!

But for the most part it sets us both up for a peaceful start to the day.
