What’s your poison?

Alcohol…
Sugar…
Porn…
Drugs…
Cigarettes..
Fast food…
TV…
Keeping busy…

Which one of these do you tell yourself helps when you’re stressed?

It was cleaning for me.

Yep I cleaned and tidied obsessively.

It was a way for me to keep control when life felt out of control.

It was also a way for me to keep busy so I didn’t have to think about how unhappy I was in my life.

A way for me to numb my emotions rather than face up to them!

And it worked for a while. Or so I thought…

But if we don’t let our emotions out they will find another root.

Our bodies respond to the way we think, feel and act.

If our mind is unhappy our body becomes sick!

I became really sick and that was the wake up call I needed to sort my life out.

To get in touch with how I really felt.

To realise that obsessive cleaning was no longer working for me.
