My bounce back ability was poor!

I had less of a bounce and more of a thud when it came to recovering from the stresses of life.

My bounce back ability was poor!

I was too heavy to bounce under the weight of life. All the hurts, rejections and set backs had accumulated to become one big heavy mass.

But I’m not the only person to face adversity so how comes other people were able to bounce back and I was left lagging behind?

Blocking is the answer.

Any time something bad would happen I would sweep it under the carpet, push it to the side and just carry on. Block!

I never acknowledged my emotions let alone dealt with them…

But if we don’t acknowledge and work through our emotions we can’t release them. Instead they build up and up and up until one day they become too heavy to bear.

Realising it’s not possible to avoid the stresses of life I knew I had to find a way to thrive in the face of stress.

I had to work on my resilience!

That meant self awareness and self care had to become a part of my life.

I had to get in touch with and be really honest about my feelings and I had to create the time and space in my life for this to happen.

So I did and now those unavoidable stresses no longer keep me down!

My bounce back ability game is strong ??
