When you Take a Big Trip

Natalie Shaul005

When you take a big trip, a journey, you make plans beforehand.

Why?

So that you get the most out of it.

You decide on the destination.

You identify specific sights you want to see.

You plan the what and the when.

With a buffer to ‘see where the wind takes you’.

The journey of life is no different.

If you want to get the most out of it, you need to have some plans.

If you don’t know the destination how will you get there?

Or know when you arrive?

If you don’t identify what you want to see and when, you may well find your journey is over and you missed the opportunity to see them!

So many people I have spoken to (and this used to include me) want to arrive at destination ‘Happy’.

But when you ask what happiness looks like for them, they have no clue…

If you don’t know where you are going, what chance do you stand of getting there?

To make the most out of your life journey, take the time to define the destination.

What exactly does happiness look like?

Ask yourself –

What does your ideal day look like?

Where do you live?

How do you earn a living?

How do you feel?

What kind of person are you?

Happiness shouldn’t be dictated by others, it’s individual to you so make your own definition.

So, you’ve decided on the destination.

Now what sights do you want to see and roughly when…

Your dream house?

A trip to Cuba?

A family of your own?

Knowing what you want and when, allows you to make decisions along the way that take you closer to your destination.

Get the most out of your journey and make it one to remember!
