RETURNING TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME…

RETURNING TO THE SCENE OF THE CRIME…

Today, 6 years after I left a 13 year career with my former employer under the cloak of a burnout, I paid them a visit!

And I did this because there really was no crime on their part.

The WHO (World Health Organisation) would have you believe that burnout is a ‘work place phenomenon’ putting the onus on the employer.

And there is absolutely a responsibility on the employers part…

But the truth is burnout is the responsibility of the individual.

You see burnout is the result of a long term pattern of self abandonment.

This is a pattern whereby a person becomes disconnected from their authentic self in a bid to create a version of them that is acceptable by other peoples standards.

This shows up as –

🤯 OVER WORKING

🤯 PERFECTIONISM

🤯 WEAK BOUNDARIES

🤯 DENYING OWN NEEDS AND WANTS

Burnout happens at the point when you are furthest from your true self.

I would have burned out anywhere as I had developed these patterns long before becoming an employee.

Today I took a stand at their Winter Market and it was an honour to share my Vitalise! Membership which I passionately created to support women to FEEL BETTER, have MORE ENERGY, BETTER HEALTH and LIKE THEMSELVES more!

So that they do not have go to the depths and level of self disconnection that I did…

And if they already find themselves there, to light the path for their way home.

I came away feeling very nostalgic about the wonderful times I had there and it was an absolute delight to see and hug so many former colleagues 💜
